KingfieldHalf in Ward 8 and half in Ward 11, Kingfield (PDF) is an energetic neighborhood boasting a vibrant artist community and seasonal Farmer’s Market. Served by the Kingfield Neighborhood Association and Nicollet-East Harriet Business Association, Kingfield’s borders are: 36th Street W on the North, 35W on the East, 46th Street W on the South, and Lyndale Avenue on the West.
Martin Luther King Park and Recreation Center draws visitors from the neighborhood and beyond year-round. Kingfield does not have any schools within its borders. However, Fraser Academy borders the neighborhood and Field Community School, Lyndale Community School, and Watershed High School serve neighborhood youth. Like all neighborhoods in Minneapolis, Kingfield has developed a neighborhood policing plan (PDF) to identify areas of improvement, set goals, and build upon its strengths. |
