Emergency Preparedness

The Director of Emergency Preparedness for the city is a Deputy Chief in the Fire Department. The Director is responsible for organizing, planning and administering the emergency response program for the city.

The Director reports jointly to the mayor and the fire chief and works with all city departments to deliver a coordinated and effective response to emergency planning in Minneapolis.
